I’m going to ask on a honda forum next, but is there anything worrying about a high mileage k20a3 engine? Finally got the maintenance history on the EP3 I saw and it has 200k on the engine and transmission. History shows the normal fluids changes and nothing in it makes me want to run far away.

Note: before someone asks “why am i even considering that?”, it’s a trade between my TL and EP3 with cash added on his end.

Do a compression test. Honestly if it's been taken care of right the rest of the car will turn to rust before it dies.

If it's anything like the other Honda 4 cylinders I've owned, oil consumption is a thing.

My wife’s ‘02 Si has 190k miles on it with no indications of problems. 6000 miles to the qt of Mobil 1. Burns less oil than my city ‘07 Si with 70k miles.

That said, since it’s not running and out of the car, you may want to pull the can chain cover and take a look at the nylon guides and the tensioner to see what’s up.

That’s just a random pic off the internet of a k20, but thanks for the advice!
